Dental Implants
Dental implants look like real teeth. They include a foundation and an artificial tooth to provide your mouth with full functioning. The first treatment places the foundation into your mouth and the second treatment secures the artificial tooth.
After you replace your missing or impacted tooth with a dental implant, you'll get to discover what it feels like to eat, speak, and laugh confidently. Dental implants continue to change the way people live.
Before the two-procedure treatment of dental implants, Light Touch Dental Laser and Implant Center performs a consultation. We will discuss your oral health history and concerns so Dr. Spurling and his Maxillofacial team can provide you with the most effective implant.
Dental implants are metal anchors that act as substitutes to the roots of your teeth. In the first procedure, we place the anchor (or foundation) into your jawbone. Once it heals in place, we go back and drill in the artificial tooth through another procedure. The time between both procedures is usually around three to six months. We recommend eating soft foods between treatments, and the entire process takes six to eight months.
